GRH 334 O Thou Beloved Son of God

(1)
How great Jesus! God’s belov’d Son,
Gave His life, made us one;
Shed His precious blood on the tree,
Man from sin to set free.
Someday this world will disappear;
All in Christ need not fear.
We shall trust Him, obey His Word,
Till we meet with our Lord.

(2)
This world’s glory all is as grass,
Fades its bloom, none can last.
Now with Jesus Christ my shepherd
Life is real forever.
Someday this world will disappear;
All in Christ need not fear.
We shall trust Him, obey His Word,
Till we meet with our Lord.

(3)
A child of God, not my merit,
Sealed by His own Spirit.
Heritage prepared in heaven
I shall ne’er be shaken.
Someday this world will disappear;
All in Christ need not fear.
We shall trust Him, obey His Word,
Till we meet with our Lord.

(4)
Sometimes Satan vexes me sore,
Filled with fear I implore,
If I turn to God the Ruler
He will fight my battle.
Someday this world will disappear;
All in Christ need not fear.
We shall trust Him, obey His Word,
Till we meet with our Lord.

(5)
All need Christ’s salvation so free,
Yielded then let us be.
Work with Jesus doing His will,
Him in Heav’n we’ll praise still.
Someday this world will disappear;
All in Christ need not fear.
We shall trust Him, obey His Word,
Till we meet with our Lord.
