Dear Members in Christ,

Every Eye Shall See Him

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” Revelation 1:7

Christians believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth again in the near future. We believe that we are now living in a period of time known as the “end time”.

The “end time” is a time period preceding the physical second return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth. He is now in heaven sitting “… at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2.

Jesus had before His own death on the Cross had told His disciples that He, after His death and resurrection, will ascend unto His Father in heaven. However, in the time to be determined by the Father, He shall return to earth. The disciples wanted to know when will His return be “… the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3.

This period of time is filled with many warnings and signs pointing to His return. To know more about the signs of His return, please read Matthew 24. Make no mistake about the Lord’s return. He shall surely return.

Non-believers can disbelieve, deny, mock, ridicule or joke about His return BUT the fact is that His return is sure. To compound to their unbelief, the Bible says that “every eye shall see him” when He returns! This added to their unbelief! Many in time of old, had not understood nor believed that “every eye shall see him”. How could this be as they all live in different countries and time zones. Nevertheless, in faith, many early Christians believed. The Bible is true and whatsoever the Bible says will come to pass. Many non-believers will live to see this very day and regret for their unbelief and denial.

He will come. We will ALL see HIM up in the sky. “ALL” means everyone on the earth. Whether you are in the North or South Pole, in the East or West, in England or Australia, wherever you are, we will ALL see Christ together when He comes in the cloud at the same moment of time! How can this be? Yes, this is a very intelligent and relevant question “how can this be”? The Bible makes no mistake. It is inerrant, infallible and immutable. It is the Word of God. The Bible affirms that “every eye shall see him”.

In those early years, before the advent of modern technology, faithful believers, believed that “every eye shall see him” by faith!  Their faith enabled them to see the power of God. With man it is impossible. However, with God all things are possible. He can create the heavens and earth out of nothing in the beginning of time. God must be able to make Himself seen by ALL man when He returns. He will fulfil ALL that He said and promised in the Bible. This is the great faith that spiritual man must have in Christ.

Today, we see that “every eye shall see him” has become a reality. With the advent of IT and communication technologies and electronic gadgets that pervade almost every home, since the mid-1990’s, we can only agree that indeed what God says will come true. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. He makes all things possible according to His timing and pleasure.

Today we have a glimpse of what it is like. With Covid-19 pandemic, the world over experienced various period and time of lock-down. There are restricted or no physical movements allowed, economies come to a standstill, people are forced to limit their travelling and meeting, yet, over the internet, people are able to have virtual meeting, in real time, with one another irrespective of geographical and time zones. Apps like Zoom, Facetime, Skype, Hangouts, GoToMeeting, CiscoWebinar, MicrosoftTeams are some of the examples frequently employed for real time and virtual instant meetings.

Yes, today we in Calvary Jaya are able to have worship services, prayer meetings and other fellowship group meetings, though separated by physical distances, yet able to gather to meet in Zoom and YouTube broadcasts. God uses man to prepare the relevant technology for time like this and for His second coming when “every eye shall see him”.

If you are not a believer yet, please consider the gospel of salvation. The gospel of salvation is to offer you the way to heaven when your journey on earth is done. For Christians, we know that when our time on earth is done, we will be with God in Heaven. We are confident and sure as God had promised us with His Word. God’s Word is always true and will never fail. So, we urge you, if you are not a believer yet, to come to the Lord Jesus to know and accept Him as your personal Saviour. If not, do you know where you will be heading when your time on earth is done?

You can speak to our church leaders and they will be very happy to share with you the gospel of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is the gift of God. It is by His grace, and by your faith in Him, this gift is yours for eternity. Do not tarry.

 

Virtual Meeting - Zoom call

As at time of writing, the country is relaxing the Movement Control Order in various degree and stages. It is anticipated that there will be a hybrid (mix) of physical and virtual meetings for a period of time tocome. It is thus appropriate to encourage “Good Netiquette Practice” when we are online.

However, it is noted that some may not be “tech conversant or savvy”, have unstable internet line, electronic gadgets that cannot support the virtual call fully and etc. Do not fret. Do whatever you can to follow the “Good Netiquette Practice”.

Good Netiquette Practice

1) Have a quiet place to go online. If it is not possible, do mute unless wanting or requested to speak.

2) Do ensure that you are well kempt and decently attired.

3) Please ensure that your background is appropriate. Do not walk around with your video on.

4) If possible, do have your name written in the call. This is to facilitate everyone to address one another appropriately and correctly.

5) When coming online, it is good to greet one another with video and voice on. This will also be appropriate at the end of the meeting to bid one another goodbye.

6) When the meeting starts, do mute. It is alright to leave or “off” the video.

7) Do come online, at least 5-10 minutes ahead of schedule. This is to avoid disruption and distraction when the meeting commences.

8) If you are the speaker of the meeting, or you are expected to share, do check your video, speaker functionality and materials before the meeting starts. Thus, it is good to log in at least 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time.

9) Please write in the chat box if you need to send a message whilst the meeting is in progress.
